latest: The UK Government’s proposals for the future financing of devolved government in Scotland: an economic assessment
Professor Drew Scott & Professor Andrew Hughes Hallett, 17 February 2010
This paper offers a critical appraisal of the proposals published by the UK Government in November 2009 to reform the arrangements for funding the devolved administration in Scotland. The proposals follow on from the fiscal policy recommendations made by the Calman Commission report.
Policy Forum is where we welcome contributions from outside commentators. Here are a number of articles, papers and speeches by various authors on a range of public policy matters that relate to Scotland, as well as information on related news and events.
We believe in encouraging debate on Scotland’s future. Policy Forum is a platform for ideas that are not generated by Reform Scotland, but might not otherwise be published elsewhere. They add to the debate in the same tradition that inspires us – of a strong, free society where individual responsibility, diversity and prosperity are encouraged within a framework of limited government. The articles here are not attributable to Reform Scotland, and the views of authors are their own.
